• Ofrece limpieza para muchos tipos de pieles. Lo probé en mi piel grasa y sentí que me dejó la cara bastante limpia y lisa sin generarme granos. Lo probé en la piel mixta deshidratada de mi marido y me comenta que su cara se sintió tan fresca que le da tiempo para preparar la limpieza con jabón. Lo probé en la piel seca de mi madre y quedó encantada, ya que removió bastante suciedad sin dejarle irritación o manchones rojos al removerlo. Para doble limpieza facial, creo que es un producto muy recomendado para casi todo tipo de pieles.

• Poco desperdicio de producto. Probé anteriormente un aceite limpiador que, a pesar de que su dispensador era práctico, una vez que tenías el aceite en tus manos comenzaba a escurrir entre los dedos y las palmas de las manos, y se desperdiciaba mucho aceite. Con el bálsamo, tomas lo que tú quieras con la cucharita y lo frotas suavemente en tus dedos para obtener el aceite limpiador, sin tantos panchos ni desperdicios. 

• Facilidad de uso. El bálsamo se coloca sobre el rostro, se masajea y al emulsificar rápidamente, se enjuaga con mayor facilidad. En cambio, el aceite líquido que usaba anteriormente tenía que frotarlo bastante tiempo con agua tibia para que emulsificara a medias y no limpiara adecuadamente. 

• Sin sensación grasosa molesta. En el enjuague, aún puede quedar sensación grasa en la cara pero no se siente pesada ni oclusiva, y se puede quitar mediante el uso de una esponja suave o con la limpieza al usar jabón. Con el aceite líquido, pese a que usaba la esponja no lograba quitar esa sensación aceitosa de mi cara y era horrible, ¡parecía que me había rociado media botella de aceite de cocina en la cara! Y en muchas ocasiones, no se quitaba ni con la segunda limpieza. 

• No irritante. Al aplicar este bálsamo, había ocasiones me entraba un poco en los ojos y afortunadamente no me generó la famosa capa blanquecina que no te deja ver y que te genera molestias. Simplemente tomas agua tibia y lo quitas con cuidado.

• Limpia sin sensación tirante o deshidratante. Logré probarlo varias veces y, a diferencia del limpiador líquido que utilicé, no deja sensación tirante o seca, por lo que puedes estar un tiempo más sin colocar otro producto.

• Humectación. Después de removerlo, lo dejé un tiempo puesto sin otro producto de limpieza y mi piel se sentía suave y humectada, incluso siendo yo de piel muy grasa, por lo que puedo decir que para pieles mixtas o secas puede ser mucho más beneficioso. 

• Aroma agradable. Personalmente, la fragancia me gusta mucho pues se siente el olor cítrico desde el momento en que el bote se abre. Aunque puede ser que haya personas que encuentren el olor muy pronunciado y les genere irritación o mareo.

• Buen pH auxiliar para tratamientos posteriores. Como su pH es ácido, puede propiciar un pH óptimo en la piel para el efecto de productos como limpiadores en jabón ácidos o tratamientos con algunos ácidos exfoliantes.

• Descripción del empaque en inglés. No hay mucho qué explicar, pero siempre se agradece que las empresas se tomen el tiempo para poner indicaciones y detalles importantes en un idioma que la mayoría de sus clientes maneja. 

• Facilidad para encontrarlo en tiendas online. Basta poner en Google "Jamong Hope Girl" para encontrar cientos de tiendas online que lo venden, inclusive aquí en México.

• Cleansing for many skin types. I tried it on my oily skin and I felt that my face was quite clean and smooth without generate pimples. I tried it on my husband's dehydrated mixed skin and he told me he felt his face so fresh that gives him time to prepare the soap cleansing part. I tried it on my mother's dry skin and was delighted, she told me that the balm removed enough dirt without leaving irritation or red patches in her skin. For double facial cleansing, I think it is a highly recommended product for almost all skin types.

• Less waste of product. I previously tried a liquid cleansing oil that, although its dispenser was practical, once you had the oil in your hands it began to drain between your fingers, and much oil was wasted. With the balm, you can take what you want with the spoon and gently rub it on your fingers to get the cleansing oil, that easy and that fast way.

• Easy to use. The balm is placed on the face, massaged and quickly emulsified, rinsing easily. On the other hand, with the liquid cleansing oil that I used previously you had to rub it for a long time with warm water to emulsify it, but at the end it wasn’t clean properly.

• No oily annoying sensation. After rinsing, there may still be an oily sensation on the face but it doesn’t feel heavy or occlusive, and it can be removed using a soft sponge or soap cleansing. With the liquid cleansing oil, even though I used the sponge, I couldn’t remove that oily texture from my face and it was horrible, it looked like I had sprayed a bottle of cooking oil on my face! And in many occasions, it wasn’t removed even with the second cleansing.

• Not irritating. When I was applying this balm, sometimes the balm got into my eyes and fortunately didn’t generate that famous whitish layer that leaves you blind for a few seconds and generates discomfort. Simply take warm water and remove it carefully.Cleans without tight or dehydrating sensation. I tried it several times and, unlike the liquid cleansing oil, it doesn’t leave tight or dry sensation, so you can leave it a while longer without placing another product once you rinse it. 

• Moisturizing. After removing it, I left it for a while without add another cleansing product and my skin felt soft and moisturized, even when I has very oily skin, so I can say that for mixed or dry skin it can be much more beneficial.

• Pleasant fragance. Personally, I liked a lot because you can smell the citrus fragance since the moment you open the package. Although there may be people who wouldn’t like the smell ‘cause it’s very pronounced and it could generate irritation or dizziness.

• Great pH for later treatments. As its pH is acid, it can promote an optimal skin pH for the effect of products such as acidic soap cleaners or treatments with some exfoliating acids.

• English packaging description. There is not much to explain, but it’s always appreciated that companies take the time to put indications and important details in a language that most of their clients speak.

• Ease to find it in online stores. Simply write "Jamong Hope Girl" in Google to find a lot of of online stores that sells it, including Mexico.

- CONTRAS / CONS -

• No remueve maquillaje grueso en su totalidad. Que remueve maquillaje es cierto, pero no en su totalidad ni tan fácilmente como se podría pensar. Cuando se aplica una capa gruesa de maquillaje es realmente difícil que salga con "un suave masaje", por lo que tienes que frotar constantemente para removerlo por completo. Como mencioné anteriormente, lo mejor sería usarlo después de un desmaquillante.

• Incómodo para remover polvo fino. Una de sus promesas es remover polvo, incluso el más fino. Sí lo remueve, pero puede hacerse una plasta de aceite con textura arenosa y es inconveniente para tallarlo mientras esparces el resto del bálsamo en tu rostro. Lo mejor es quitar esas bolas de aceite y polvo y continuar con la limpieza, pero puede perderse mucho producto en el proceso.

• Menor cantidad y mayor costo a comparación de los aceites limpiadores. Si buscan en cualquier tienda online de cosméticos coreanos, la mayoría de las veces los limpiadores tipo bálsamo tienen este inconveniente. Los aceites limpiadores que vienen en presentación líquida suelen tener mayor cantidad de producto al mismo precio que un bote de bálsamo limpiador, llegando incluso a ofrecer mayor cantidad de producto a un precio más bajo. Aunque en mi opinión, si mides correctamente la cantidad a usar puedes hacerlo rendir por bastante tiempo.

• Posición de los ingredientes en la lista de componentes. En el anuncio, Hope Girl nos indica que sus ingredientes estrella son el extracto de cáscara de toronja, el aceite de oliva, el aloe vera, la nuez de Macadamia y el aceite de semilla de Babassú para generar una excelente limpieza a la vez que nutre y humecta la piel. Y uno pensaría que éstos son los que se encuentran en mayor cantidad en el bálsamo; sin embargo, de todo éstos sólo 2 de ellos se encuentran en los primeros 10 ingredientes de la lista (el aceite de semilla de Babassú en 5o. lugar y el extracto de la cáscara de toronja en el 8o.). Hay otros cítricos que encabezan la lista de ingredientes y sólo uno de ellos guarda similitud con el extracto de toronja que se menciona en el anuncio. Los otros ingredientes "estrella" se encuentran en los penúltimos lugares de la lista, por lo que posiblemente se encuentren en una menor concentración.

• It doesn’t remove thick makeup totally. Is true that removes makeup, but not entirely or as easily as you might think. When a thick layer of makeup is applied, it’s really difficult to remove it with "a gentle massage", so you have to rub constantly to remove it completely. As I mentioned earlier, it’d be better to use this Jamong balm after a make-up remover.

• Uncomfortable to remove fine dust. One of his promises is to remove dust, even the finest. Of course it removes it, but once the balm caught the dust, it creates an oily paste with a sandy texture and it’s really inconvenient to rub it while you spread the rest of the balsam on your face. It’s better to remove those sandy pastes and keep cleansing, but you can lose a lot of product in the process.

• Less quantity and higher cost compared to cleansing oils. If you look in any Korean cosmetics online store, most of the time balsam-type cleaners have this drawback. Cleansing oils that come in liquid form usually have a greater quantity of product at the same price as a package of cleansing balm, sometimes even offering more product at a lower price. Although in my opinion, if you measure correctly the amount to use you can make your cleansing balm more usable for a long time.

• Ingredients’ List Position. In the ad, Hope Girl tells us that its main ingredients are the grapefruit peel extract, olive oil, aloe vera juice, Macadamia nut oil and Babassu seed oil to generate excellent cleansing while nourishing and moisturizes the skin. And you’d think that these ingredients should be the main ones ‘cause you find them in greater quantity in the balm. However, of all these, only 2 of them are in the first 10 ingredients on the list (Babassu seed oil in 5th place and grapefruit peel extract in the 8th.). There are other citrus fruits that top the list of ingredients and only one of them is similar to the grapefruit extract mentioned in the advertisement. The other “main” ingredients are in the penultimate places on the list, so they may be in a lower concentration.
