¡Feliz fin de semana! Me ha ganado el tiempo y no pude publicar esta entrada antes de que terminara Enero, pero espero que hayan comenzado el 2019 con muchos descubrimientos y cosas positivas para todos ustedes, mis amados lectores (◠‿◠✪). He andado algo perdida (por no decir MUY perdida) con el blog por algunos problemas de salud pero todo apunta a que me recuperaré muy pronto ^‿^. Mientras tanto, he tenido algo de tiempo libre para dedicarle a éste, su pequeño espacio, y el día de hoy les traigo mi primera reseña del año sobre un tipo de producto que pocas veces he mencionado aquí en el blog: el bálsamo labial. Y es que muchas veces obviamos que nuestros labios también merecen su cuidado especial y pensamos que "cualquier producto vale", pero en ocasiones no nos satisfacen del todo ni nos dan lo que buscamos. Sin darle más vueltas, les comparto mi experiencia esperando que les sea útil ^_^.

Meanwhile, I had some free time to write something for this, your small space, and today I bring my first review of the year about a type of product that I've rarely mentioned here in the blog: the lip balm. And is just that many times we forget that our lips also deserve special care and we think that "any product worth it", but sometimes they don't satisfy us at all or they don't give us what we want. So let's go then, I share my experience hoping it will be useful for you ^_^.

Aplica una cantidad apropiada en los labios secos. Aplica en los labios según se necesite.

Este pequeño producto lo compré por curiosidad ya que no conocía la marca y andaba en búsqueda de un bálsamo labial que me ayudara a proteger mis labios de las bajas temperaturas de mi ciudad. Como necesitaba llenar un poco más mi carrito de compras en RubyRubyShop, lo agregué a mi pedido porque los ingredientes llamaron mi atención y por su bajo precio (¡me costó menos de $4 dólares *ε*!). Según su publicidad, contiene ingredientes que no generan demasiada irritación que a su vez prometen calmar, proteger y humectar la piel de los labios, incluso la más sensible. 

Este bálsamo no contiene aceite mineral en sus ingredientes. Y yo quería probar un producto que me brindara otras alternativas a este ingrediente, no porque sea malo (porque de hecho, no es un ingrediente tóxico como muchas marcas lo venden tipo "Mineral Oil Free") sino porque siento que a pesar de proteger mis labios y ser bastante oclusivo, no aporta mucha humectación a mis labios y quedan resecos aún con esa capa gruesa de producto encima, y es estresante tener los labios partidos y encima la sensación oleosa que dura bastante tiempo (no sé si les ha pasado que aún utilizando un producto de este tipo, pueden sentir las placas de resequedad en los labios y encima se siente una capa grasa o pegajosa sobre ellos ╥﹏╥). 

Este bálsamo labial contiene bastantes ingredientes emolientes, humectantes y algunos ingredientes que calman la piel y ofrecen propiedades antioxidantes (como la Centella Asiatica), además de algunos ingredientes vegetales como sandía, naranja, toronja/pomelo, jitomate/tomate, chabacano/albaricoque y papaya.

El bálsamo es de color blanco aperlado y tiene una textura pastosa pero muy ligera, es muy parecido a una cera suave que se derrite al contacto con la piel de los labios. Ahora que lo pienso, la textura es parecida a la cera de abeja que se cristaliza y que con algo de calor se va haciendo más espesa y suave. Cuando lo untas, puedes percibir un suave olor a vainilla-cacao muy rico que desaparece luego de aplicarlo. Tiene un sabor dulzón similar al olor que les he comentado (sí, lo he probado mientras comía XD) y no deja esa sensación oleosa y pesada como otros bálsamos labiales que había probado anteriormente.

Y finalmente, le llegó la prueba de fuego a este bálsamo labial. A principios de Noviembre-Diciembre comenzaron los frentes fríos más gélidos y era un terror exponerse (bueno, inclusive dentro de la casa se sentía mucho frío). Esto es una sentencia de labios partidos y resecos para mí, así que lo traje conmigo durante todo el día todos los días hasta la fecha (su pequeño tamaño es genial para llevarlo a todos lados). 

Con muy poca cantidad se tiene suficiente para aplicar en los labios, y en cuanto se unta se sienten los labios más humectados, suaves y protegidos. Algo que me gustó de este producto es que aún cuando no exfolio mis labios y se sienten muy agrietados, este producto los repara y deja un aspecto uniforme y lindo, lucen muy jugosos y con un acabado "glow" poco pegajoso. Esto es genial para la gente que suele utilizar muchas tintas labiales o lapices labiales que aman mucho pero que llegan a ser demasiado resecantes, ya que este bálsamo deja los labios bien humectados y resistentes a este tipo de cosméticos. 

No me ha generado reacción alguna, aunque contiene algunos ingredientes que podrían incrementar el acné fúngico (lo he señalizado aquí porque algunas personas podrían llegar a tener brotes alrededor de los labios y esto podría ser un problema para su condición médica), por lo que hay que tener cuidado al usarlo.

I bought this small product with some curiosity because I didn't know the brand and I was looking for a lip balm that would help me protect my lips from the low temperatures of my city. As I needed to fill my shopping cart a little more in RubyRubyShop, I added it to my order because the ingredients caught my attention and because of its low price (it cost me less than $4 dollars *ε*!). According to its advertising, it contains low-irritant ingredients that promise to soothe, protect and moisturize the skin of the lips, even the most sensitive.

This balm doesn't contain mineral oil in its ingredients. And I wanted to try a product that would offer me other alternatives to this ingredient, not because it is bad (because in fact, it is NOT a toxic ingredient as many brands sell it as "Mineral Oil Free") but because I feel that despite this ingredients really protects my lips and it's quite occlusive, it doesn't bring much moisture to my lips and they remain dry even with that thick layer of product on top, and it's stressful to have chapped lips and that greasy sensation that lasts for a long time (I don't know if this happened to you, that even when you're using a product of this type, you can feel the dryness on your lips and on top you feel a greasy or sticky layer on them ╥﹏╥).

This lip balm contains enough emollient ingredients, moisturizers and some ingredients that calm the skin and offer antioxidant properties (such as Centella Asiatica), as well as some vegetable ingredients such as watermelon, orange, grapefruit, tomato, apricot and papaya.

And finally, the real test came to this lip balm. At the beginning of November-December the strongest cold wind began and it was horrible to be exposed (well, even inside the house it was very cold). This means "chapped and dry lips for you today!" for me, so I brought it with me all day every day until today (its small size is great to take it everywhere).

With very little amount you have enough to apply on the lips, and as soon as it smears you can feel your lips more moist, soft and protected. Something that I liked about this product is that even when I don't exfoliate my lips too often and they feel very cracked, this product repairs them and leaves a smooth and nice appearance, they look very juicy and with a glow finish, not too sticky. This is great for people who usually use many liptints or lipsticks that they love a lot but that become too drying, because this balm leaves the lips well moisturized and resistant to this type of cosmetics.

It hasn't generated any reaction on me, although it contains some ingredients that could increase fungal acne (I have signaled it here because some people could have breakouts around the lips and this could be a problem for their medical condition), so please be careful when using it.

Pese a que me gustó bastante lo que vi al usarlo, hay algunos "peros" que considero importante mencionar:

En primer lugar, el aplicador puede llegar a ser algo incómodo para aplicar el producto. A pesar de que es muy efectivo y dosifica bien de cierta manera, hay que tener cuidado de no apretar demasiado el tubo porque el orificio es bastante grande y sale demasiada cantidad de bálsamo labial, además de que muchas veces después de aplicar queda todo manchado del producto en las orillas, haciendo un enchastre y generando que no puedas ni ponerle la tapa hasta limpiarlo por completo.

Y que se corre con bastante facilidad. Si lo aplicas y llegas a ingerir o beber algo, cuando termines tu merienda este bálsamo labial se habrá ido y volverá esa sensación reseca o de labios partidos ಥ_ಥ, pero nada que una reaplicación no pueda arreglar (●⌒∇⌒●)/. 

En conclusión, pienso que si ésta es una buena opción para comenzar a utilizar bálsamos labiales, sobre todo porque es fácil de aplicar y porque es accesible para todos los bolsillos.


Although I liked what I saw when using it, there are some "no no's" that I consider important to mention:

In the first place, the applicator can become somewhat uncomfortable to apply the product. Although it's very effective and doses well in a certain way, we must be careful to don't over-tighten the tube because the orifice is quite large and you can get too much lip balm, and many times after applying it you can get a lot of product around the applicator, making a mess and therefore you can't even put the lid until you clean it completely.

And that runs quite easily. If you apply it and you eat or drink something, this lip balm'll be gone before you finish yourmeal and that dry or chapped lips sensation'll come back again ಥ_ಥ, but nothing that a reapplication can not fix (●⌒∇⌒●)/.

In conclusion, I think that this is a good option to start using lip balms, especially because it is easy to apply and because it is accessible to all pockets.

No creo volver a comprarlo por ahora porque quiero probar otras opciones y formatos de aplicación, pero lo considero un producto low cost bastante bueno.
