Nah mentira, en realidad no hay una fecha en específico para demostrar amor, pero los cariñitos extra en esta fecha no están de más 🥰 Hace algunas semanas, tuve la fortuna de ganar un evento de Elizavecca para reseñar uno de sus productos más recientes: esta crema hidratante. De por sí los productos de Elizavecca llaman mucho la atención por sus empaques bonitos, cuando vi la textura gelatinosa supe que tenía que probarlo porque mi piel ama ese tipo de texturas ya que usualmente son hidratantes que se absorben rápido y eso a mi piel grasa le va de diez. Esta crema la recibí hace 3 semanas y quería compartir con ustedes cómo me ha ido con ella hasta el momento, además de que es una forma de agradecer a la marca que tan amablemente me la envió para que pudiera probarla. Pues ya no les quito más tiempo y los dejo con mis primeras impresiones, ¡espero que la disfruten! ♥

Hello again! How have you been? Are you ready for St. Valentine's Day? Nah just kidding, actually there is no specific date to show love, but the extra cuddles on this date are well received too 🥰 A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to win an Elizavecca event to review one of their most recent products: this moisturizing cream. Since long time ago, Elizavecca products deserves a lot of attention for their beautiful packaging, but when I saw the gelatinous texture of this cream I knew I had to try it because my skin loves that kind of textures since they are usually moisturizers that absorb quickly and my oily skin loves that feeling. I received this cream 3 weeks ago and I wanted to share with you how it works on my skin so far, plus is a way to say thanks to the brand that so kindly sent it to me so I could test it. Well, let's start then and I leave you my first impressions, I hope you enjoy it! ♥

La caja donde viene la crema mantiene las típicas ilustraciones adorables que conocemos de Elizavecca en tonos azules y rosas, presentándonos ahora un conejito lleno de arrugas que se mira al espejo mientras una mascarilla en forma de conejito azul está sobre él. Tiene algunas partes en relieve que también cambian a un tono azulado metálico cuando se colocan sobre una fuente de luz.

En uno de los lados de la caja tienen el código QR y el número original de serie de producto listo para raspar y leer, para así comprobar que el producto es 100% original (en mis stories destacadas de Instagram tienen una guía sobre cómo verificar que sus productos de Elizavecca son originales, ya que muchas compañías claman vender "productos de Elizavecca a menor precio pero con el mismo efecto" y en ocasiones no es más que un plagio de diseño, vendiendo una crema o serum lleno de no-sé-qué-cosas y exponiendo a sus clientes a agentes potencialmente peligrosos y que SÍ son tóxicos como metales pesados o heces de ratas 🤢).

La mayor parte de la información viene escrita en coreano, aunque en la base de la caja encontramos información importante en inglés (como modo de uso, ingredientes, precauciones, cantidad [100 g], el código QR de la empresa y la página oficial).

The box where the cream comes keeps the typical adorable illustrations we know of Elizavecca in shades of blue and pink, presenting us now a bunny full of wrinkles that looks in the mirror while a mask in the shape of a blue bunny is over him. It has some parts in relieef that also change to a bluish metallic tone when placed on a light source.

On one side of the box you have the QR code and the original product serial number ready to scrape and read, to verify that the product is 100% original (in my Instagram highlights stories you have a guide on how to verify that your Elizavecca's products are original, as many companies claim to sell "Elizavecca products at a lower price but with the same effect" and sometimes it is nothing more than a design plagiarism, selling a cream or serum full of do-not-what-is-this things and exposing their clients to potentially dangerous agents and that are REALLY toxic like heavy metals or rat feces 🤢).

Most of the information is written in Korean, although at the base of the box we find important information in English (such as way to use, ingredients, precautions, quantity [100 g], the QR code of the company and the official page). 

Al sacar el envase de la crema, podemos ver que viene impreso con una etiqueta en los mismos tonos azulados y rosados de la caja. El envase es de plástico transparente y la tapa es de un tono azul ligero, casi blanquecino, que tiene una calcomanía del conejito que vemos en la portada de la caja. Casi toda la información viene escrita en coreano, aunque aún se pueden leer la fecha de producción y caducidad del producto impresas en la base del envase.

Como medida de seguridad, el envase viene cubierto en un termoplástico con líneas precortadas para poder abrirla rápidamente.

When we remove the cream container, we can see that it is printed with a label in the same bluish and pink tones of the box. The packaging is transparent plastic and the lid has a light blue, almost whitish color, that has a sticker of the bunny that we see on the cover of the box. Almost all the information is written in Korean, although you can still read the production and expiration dates of the product printed on the base of the container.

As a safety measure, the container is covered in a thermoplastic with pre-cut lines to be able to open it quickly.

Al desenroscar la tapa, podemos apreciar que la tapa contiene una cubierta gruesa de plástico que a su vez porta una pequeña espátula blanca con el nombre de la marca impreso en relieve. Al quitar la cubierta, finalmente vemos la crema azul.

When unscrewing the lid, we can see that the lid contains a thick plastic cover that also carries a small white spatula with the name of the brand printed in relief. When we remove the cover, we finally see the blue cream.

Cuando apliqué en el evento para esta crema, debo admitir que el hecho de que contuviera ácido hialurónico llamó mucho mi atención, pues mi piel es grasa y deshidratada la mayor parte del tiempo y requiere humectación constante pero ligera. Y a todo esto, ¿cuál es el hype por el ácido hialurónico?

La publicidad de esta crema se centra principalmente en el ácido hialurónico, que Elizavecca indica que viene contenido en un 50% de la formulación del producto. Lo encontramos bajo el nombre de hialuronato de sodio, que es como se le llama a la forma sódica del ácido hialurónico y que se utiliza de forma periódica en muchos cosméticos por ser más estable, barato y fácil de formular. Explicado a grandes rasgos, este ingrediente se encuentra de manera natural en muchos tejidos de nuestro cuerpo, incluyendo la piel, funcionando como humectante al poseer gran capacidad de retención de agua en la piel, haciéndola lucir rellena y elástica. Posee además otras funciones como regenerar la barrera dañada de la piel, protegiéndola de la acción de los radicales libres y mejorando el aspecto de las arrugas relacionadas a pérdida de agua y además le da cierta capacidad osmótica a ingredientes solubles en agua, es decir, que puede hacer que ciertos activos solubles en agua penetren de manera más profunda en la piel. En los cosméticos, se utilizan distintos tamaños moleculares de este componente con la finalidad de observar si es posible humectar la piel a un nivel más profundo dándole un tamaño más pequeño. Sin embargo, el ácido hialurónico de tamaño más pequeño solamente alcanza la capa más profunda de la epidermis, por lo que no penetra la piel tan profundamente sino que forma un manto humectante y protector.

Con el paso del tiempo, sus niveles se van redistribuyendo en todo nuestro organismo y es entonces cuando perdemos la capacidad de humectación, exponiendo a la piel a la formación de arrugas, adelgazamiento y deshidratación que le dan un aspecto más envejecido y cansado.

Revisando los otros ingredientes incluidos en la lista, tenemos que se incluyen más ingredientes emolientes y humectantes además de antioxidantes y calmantes, que complementarían lo prometido en la publicidad de la crema sobre efectos rejuvenecedores, tonificantes y suavizantes.


When I applied in the event for this cream, I must admit that the fact that it contains hyaluronic acid caught my attention, because my skin is oily and dehydrated most of the time and requires constant but light moisturization. And to all this, why is the hype for hyaluronic acid?

The advertising of this cream focuses mainly on hyaluronic acid, which Elizavecca indicates is contained in 50% of the product formulation. We find it under the name of sodium hyaluronate, which is what is called the sodium form of hyaluronic acid and that is used periodically in many cosmetics because it's more stable, cheap and easy to formulate. Broadly speaking, this ingredient is found naturally in many tissues of our body, including the skin, working as a moisturizer because it has great water retention capacity in the skin, making it look plump and elastic. It also has other functions such as regenerating the damaged barrier of the skin, protecting it from the action of free radicals and improving the appearance of wrinkles related to water loss and also gives a certain osmotic capacity to water-soluble ingredients, that is, that it can cause certain water-soluble assets to penetrate deeper into the skin. In cosmetics, different molecular sizes of this component are used in order to see if it is possible to moisturize the skin at a deeper level giving it a smaller size. However, the hyaluronic acid of smaller size reaches only the deepest layer of the epidermis, so it doesn't penetrate the skin so deeply but forms a moisturizing and protective mantle.

With the passage of time, their levels are redistributed throughout our body and that is when it loses the ability to moisten, exposing the skin to wrinkles formation, thinning and dehydration that give it a more aged and tired look.

Reviewing the other ingredients included in the list, it includes more emollient and moisturizing ingredients in addition to antioxidants and soothing ingredients, which would complement what was promised in the advertising of the cream on rejuvenating, toning and softening effects.



Cuando Elizavecca me avisó que había sido seleccionada, me comentaron que la crema me gustaría mucho  por la textura que tiene y por los efectos que deja en la piel, ya que según la marca está formulada para todo tipo de piel... ¡Y debo decir que estaban en lo cierto!

La crema tiene un color azul claro brillante y tiene un aroma parecido al del shampoo Head and Shoulders, ese olor mezclado similar al del jabón y fragancia frutal. Aún después de que se aplica en la piel se puede percibir ligeramente y en lo personal no me desagrada, pero si eres sensible a las fragancias quizás prefieras evitarlo.

Y claro, tenía que hacer mención aparte a su textura pues también le da parte del nombre a la crema. Cuando abres el envase puedes apreciar un pudín azul que con movimientos suaves se mueve lentamente como un flan no tan viscoso. Sin embargo, cuando tomas una porción con la espátula se siente firme y sale íntegro; si tomas una porción más grande y moviendo constantemente la espátula, el pudín se siente más líquido y se derrama lentamente. En algún punto, me recuerda mucho al Sofúl que vende Yakult por esa consistencia firme pero suave al mismo tiempo (claro que este no va para que lo comamos 🤣). Y si de por sí esto llega a ser hipnótico cuando la usas, el hecho de ver cómo regresa a su forma normal pese a tomar una buena cantidad de ella es casi alucinante (de ahí el nombre de "memory cream/crema de memoria").


When Elizavecca told me that I had been selected, they told me that I'd like the cream a lot because of the texture it has and the effects it leaves on the skin, since according to the brand it is formulated for all skin types... And I must say they were right!

The cream has a bright light blue color and has a similar scent to Head and Shoulders shampoo, that mixed fragance similar to soap and fruity fragrance. Even after it is applied to the skin, it can be perceived slightly and personally I don't dislike it, but if you are sensitive to fragrances you may prefer to avoid it.

And of course, I had to make a separate mention to its texture because it also gives part of the name to the cream. When you open the container you can see a blue pudding that moves slowly with soft movements like a not so viscous custard. However, when you take a portion with the spatula it feels firm and comes out intact. If you take a larger portion and constantly move the spatula, the pudding feels more liquid and spills slowly. At some point, it reminds me a lot of the Soful that sells Yakult because of that firm but soft consistency at the same time (of course we're not gonna eat this one 🤣). And if this in itself becomes hypnotic when you use it, the fact of seeing how it returns to its normal form despite taking a good amount of it is almost mind-boggling (hence the name "memory cream").
