REVIEW: [INNISFREE] Auto Eyebrow Pencil (Urban Brown color)

¡Hola a todos! Estoy muy emocionada porque esta es mi primera reseña sobre maquillaje coreano, ¡vamos allá! (⌒▽⌒)☞ En esta ocasión, hablaré sobre el Auto Eyebrow Pencil de Innisfree.
Armando mi rutina de belleza, estuve leyendo en varios blogs algunos artículos que mencionaban varias herramientas básicas que puedes utilizar para darle una mejor forma a ciertas partes de tu rostro, entre ellos un un delineador para cejas. Les confieso que nunca se me hubiera ocurrido que lo probaría, ya que tenía la falsa idea de que los delineadores sólo los utilizaban las chicas que se rasuraban totalmente las cejas y que los ocupaban para poder darle expresión a su cara. Pero bueno, acá estamos para aprender y corregir ideas ^-^.
Hi everyone! I'm very excited 'cause this is my first review about Korean make-up, let's start! (⌒▽⌒)☞ This time, I'll talk about the Auto Eyebrow Pencil, from Innisfree.
Creating a new daily beauty routine, I've been reading a lot of blogs where people mentioned a lot of basic tools, useful for give to your face a better shape, among them an eyebrow pencil. I must confess that I never tought about use one, because I believed that the eyebrow pencils were just for girls who shaved their eyebrows and they had to use them to give their faces more expressions. Oh well, we're here to learn and fix some ideas ^-^.

Yo quería probar el Expresso Brown porque de acuerdo a las fotos, el color del lápiz era el que mejor se adecuaba al color oscuro de mis cejas, pero la tienda que lo vendía no lo tenía disponible ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, así que opté por buscar alguno que no fuera tan claro y compré el Urban Brown before daylight (Urban Brown pa' los cuates, como decimos acá en México XD).

¡Sencillo y práctico! Es un tubo delgado blanco con la marca del lápiz y algunas instrucciones en hangul. No venía envuelto ni tenía caja. Tiene dos tapas en los extremos.
Simple and useful! It's a white thin tube with the "Innisfree" mark on it, and some hangul instructions. It didn't came wrapped, neither came inside of a box. It has a dual-ended package, each one with cap.

The expiration date is marked in one of the caps, with english and hangul instructions, it's a great detail from Innisfree for those who are starting in the wonderful K-cosmetics worlds, and are learning to identify elaboration and expiration dates.
En la tapa donde se encuentra el lápiz viene una calcomanía (o pegatina) con el código de barras, que sirve para "cerrar" la tapa y a su vez es un modo para que puedas comprobar que el producto es nuevo, ya que una vez que la quitas, la tapa queda manchada y esta calcomanía se arruga fácilmente.
Attached to one cap, you can see a sticker with the barcode, which serves to "close" the cap, and at the same time, it's a proof that you have a new original product, because once you remove the sticker, the cap gets dirty and the sticker wrinkles easily.
Este lápiz incluye también un cepillo para las cejas en el otro extremo, algo que yo aprecio muchísimo en cuanto a precio y eficacia para comenzar a probar cosméticos (ᵔᴥᵔ).
This pencil includes a mini spoolie too, something that I loved because I'm testing cosmetics and this is a low-cost and efficient extra detail (ᵔᴥᵔ).

En el otro extremo del tubo hay una parte color café, que al girarla deja salir la punta del lápiz. Tal como indica Innisfree en su descripción, el lápiz es ovalado y tiene una punta más fina y una más ancha.
At the other side of the pencil, at the brown color part, there is a twist-up pencil. The pencil is oval, and has one thinner and one wider tips, according to Innisfree description.

Yo lo utilicé casi inmediatamente después de depilar mis cejas ya que me crecen bastante rápido y pierden su forma con facilidad, por lo que tengo que depilarlas cada cierto tiempo o sino comienzo a transformarme en cavernícola con pelos por todos lados (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`).

These are my eyebrows before using the Auto Eyebrow Pencil. My messy, messy, "full-of-spaces" eyebrows TwT.
Después de depilarlas y darles forma lo más que pude, decidí peinarlas primero antes de delinearlas. Al momento de utilizar el cepillo lo sentí bastante suave, a pesar de que las cerdas se sentían rígidas y firmes en un principio. Mis cejas son bastante rebeldes, pero este cepillito logró su cometido y las domó bastante bien.

Después de depilarlas y darles forma lo más que pude, decidí peinarlas primero antes de delinearlas. Al momento de utilizar el cepillo lo sentí bastante suave, a pesar de que las cerdas se sentían rígidas y firmes en un principio. Mis cejas son bastante rebeldes, pero este cepillito logró su cometido y las domó bastante bien.
After depilate them and tried to make them look better, I combed them first before delineating. When I used the spoolie, I felt it really soft, even when the bristles were firm at the first touch. My eyebrows are really wild as hell, but this little brush tamed them, achieving their purpose.

Después de esto, utilicé la punta fina del lápiz para delinear mis cejas. Las partes más gruesas (las que van cerca de la nariz) siempre me cuestan mucho trabajo para depilar, porque me quedan chuecas, me quedan redondas o definitivamente me quedan sin forma (¬_¬). Así que, con la punta delgada, comencé a darles forma cuadrada, ya que nunca he visto cómo me quedan marcadas de esa forma *^*.Al momento de usar el lápiz contra la piel de la ceja, sentí que raspó un poco y batallé un poco para ablandarlo al principio. Conforme fui delineando y rellenando los espacios pequeños, el lápiz se suavizó y pude terminar de pintar sin problemas.

Después de esto, utilicé la punta fina del lápiz para delinear mis cejas. Las partes más gruesas (las que van cerca de la nariz) siempre me cuestan mucho trabajo para depilar, porque me quedan chuecas, me quedan redondas o definitivamente me quedan sin forma (¬_¬). Terminando de delinear las partes finas de mis cejas, rellené los espacios más gruesos con el borde grueso, que fue un poco más gentil al estar en contacto con mi piel.
En cuanto al color, temía un poco porque yo percibía que el del lápiz era mucho más claro que el de mis cejas. Cuando comencé a delinear casi no pintaba nada, pero al aplicar un poco más de presión el color fue saliendo de forma constante.

Y terminando de pintar ambas cejas, me di cuenta que realmente no se apreciaba una diferencia muy notoria entre el color natural de mis cejas y el del lápiz, lo que sí recomiendo es que no se aplique demasiado color pues las cejas pueden quedar un poco más cargadas y su forma puede perderse.
After this, I used the thin part of the pencil to delineate my eyebrows. The thicker parts (those that go near the nose) always are a headache to shave, because they always get strange, like pronnunciated round shapes or definitely have no form (¬_¬). So, I draw them a starting square pointshape, since I have never seen how they are marked that way *^*.
When I started to use the pencil on my eyebrow skin, I felt that it scraped a little and I had problems to make the pencil softer meanwhile I was colouring. As I was delineating and filling the small spaces, the pencil softened and I painted without problems at the end.
When I delineated the thin parts of my eyebrows, I filled the thicker eyebrows spaces with the thick edge, which was a little gentler with my skin.
As for the color, I feared a little ‘cause I perceived that the pencil color was clearer than the one in my eyebrows. When I started to delineate, the pencil didn’t paint too much, but when applying a little more pressure the color came out steadily. When I painted both eyebrows, I realized that there wasn’t a noticeable difference between the natural color of my eyebrows and the color of the pencil, what I do recommend is not to apply too much color because the eyebrows can be a little more loaded and its shape can be lost.
Si bien no fue un delineado 100% perfecto porque aún estoy practicando, siento que fue un buen comienzo ya que al menos mis cejas después de mucho tiempo pudieron tener una forma bonita y no tan "plástica" (no me agrada mucho tener que pintar al 100% la ceja, ya que siento que se ve demasiado falseada y pintada con un marcador, qué se yo ٩◔‿◔۶). Algo que también me gustó de este lápiz es que el delineado dura bastante tiempo. Yo estuve prácticamente unas 8 horas con él sin agregarle nada más y el color se mantuvo lindo, mis cejas se veían marcadas todo el tiempo y al pasar el dedo no sentía algún grumo o particula extraña (*~▽~).

Although it wasn't a perfect delineated technique because I'm still practicing, I think it was a good starting point because at least my eyebrows, after a long time, could have a nice shape and not so "plastic" (I don't like 100% painted eyebrows, since I feel it looks too distorted and painted with a marker, in my opinion ٩◔‿◔۶). Something I also liked about this pencil is that the outline lasts a long time. I spent almost 8 hours with it without nothing else added and the color remained cute, my eyebrows were marked all the time and when I put my finger on them, I didn't feel some strange clump or particle (* ~ ▽ ~).
+PROS+
- Precio accesible. No voy a mentir, esto fue lo primero por lo que decidí comprarlo. Yo tuve la suerte de conseguirlo en unos $3.33 USD aproximadamente ($59 pesos mexicanos), pero buscando otros lugares para conseguirlo he observado que incluso en la tienda de Innisfreeworld, se puede encontrar desde los $4 USD. Me parece un precio razonable para la calidad del producto.
- Variedad de colores y adaptabilidad. Hay variedades claras y oscuras, ¡incluso hay una tonalidad gris! Es genial que tengan tantas variedades en tonos, y lo que a mí me sorprendió es que aún escogiendo un tono un poco más claro que el de mi color natural, no sobresaliera demasiado a la hora de colorear las cejas y que se pudiera adaptar al color original.
- Larga duración. Como había comentado anteriormente, duré bastante tiempo con el color en mis cejas sin necesidad de retocar o agregar algo más, de hecho pasadas esas 8 horas aún tenía el color y tuve que desmaquillarme para removerlo (∪ ◡ ∪).
- Buena pigmentación. El color es suave cuando lo vas aplicando, pero entre más presión metas puedes obtener un color más pronunciado que se mezcla bien entre los espacios sin cejas y al mismo tiempo te da un buen delineado para el contorno de las mismas.
- Buen delineado y definición. Las puntas fina y gruesa del lápiz cumplen su función, la más delgada traza de modo impecable las líneas delgadas, mientras que la parte más gruesa rellena rápidamente los espacios. Puedes moldear las cejas a tu gusto sin temor a que te quede una línea chueca (claro, salvo que tengas pulso de abuelita como yo ⊙﹏⊙).
- A prueba de agua. Logré probarlo varias veces después exponiendo mis cejas coloreadas al agua y definitivamente quedaron intactas.
- Low cost. I'm not gonna lie, this was the first reason which I decided to buy it for. I was lucky enough to get it for about $ 3.33 USD ($ 59 Mexican pesos), but looking in other online stores I've noticed that you can find it from $ 4 USD, even in the Innisfreeworld store. To me, it’s a reasonable price for the quality of the product.
- Variety of colors and adaptability. There are clear and dark varieties, there’s even a gray hue! It's great that they have so many varieties in tones, and what surprised me is that even choosing a tone a little lighter than the one of my natural color, it didn’t get noticed too as I tought it would be when coloring the eyebrows. The color of the pencil really adapted to the eyebrows color.
- Long duration. As I mentioned before, I lasted a long time with the color in my eyebrows without retouch or add anything else, in fact after 8 hours I still had the color and I had to remove all my make-up to remove it (∪ ◡ ∪).
- Good pigmentation. The color is soft when you apply it, but the more pressure you can get a more pronounced color that fills really good the eyebrows spaces and , at the same time, gives you a good outline.
- Good outline and definition. The fine and thick parts of the pencil fulfill their function, the thinner traces neatly the thin lines, while the thicker part quickly fills the empty spaces. You can mold your eyebrows without fear of having a crooked line (of course, unless you have grandma's pulse like me ⊙﹏⊙).
- Waterproof. I tried it several times exposing my colored eyebrows to the water and they were definitely intact.
-CONTRAS/CONS-
- Textura del lápiz. El cepillo es una gran herramienta, pero el lápiz fue algo agresivo al principio. En la primera aplicación sentí una sensación como de rozamiento y ardor, especialmente con la parte más fina del lápiz. Aunque no lo considero tanto un contra porque el hecho de que sea "duro" le da firmeza al lápiz para poder aplicar bien el color.
- Componentes irritantes y generadores de acné. Según la lista de componentes en COSDNA, este lápiz puede tener sustancias irritantes para la piel (como el tocoferol, el hexilenglicol y el aceite vegetal hidrolizado) y generadoras de acné (como el aceite vegetal hidrolizado, el ácido esteárico, el palmitato ascorbilo y el hexilenglicol). Aunque los valores no son muy elevados, es importante tomarlo en cuenta para pieles muy sensibles o con disposición al acné.
- Pencil texture. The spoolie is a great tool, but the pencil was kinda aggressive at first. In the first application I felt a friction and burning sentations, especially with the thinner part of the pencil. Although I don’t consider it so much as a bad thing because the fact that it’s "hard" gives firmness to the pencil to apply the color in a good way.
- Irritant components and acne generators. According to the COSDNA, this pencil may have skin irritants (such as tocopherol, hexylene glycol and hydrolyzed vegetable oil) and acne generators (such as hydrolyzed vegetable oil, stearic acid, ascorbyl palmitate and hexylene glycol). Although the values are not very high, it is important to review this, specially for very sensitive or acne-prone skin.
¿LO COMPRARÍAS NUEVAMENTE? / WOULD YOU BUY IT AGAIN?
Probablemente sí, creo que es un producto bastante bueno en relación precio-calidad y que cumple sus funciones básicas. Me gustaría probar en una próxima reseña el tan ansiado Expresso Brown, pero como aún estoy probando cosméticos nuevos me gustaría darle oportunidad a otros productos. Pero este se ha ganado un lugar entre mis favoritos sin duda (●⌒∇⌒●).
Probably yes, I think it's a really good product (related to price-quality) and completes its basic functions. I'd like to try the Expresso Brown color in a new review, but I'm still testing new cosmetics and products. But this one has earned a place among my favorite products for sure (●⌒∇⌒●).

Este lápiz es bueno, aunque en el tiempo que lo probé no habían tantos colores. Me gustó mas el de Holika Holika en ese aspecto. Igual me da un poquito de cosa (verguenza) aplicarme productos de cejas porque también las tengo bien pobladas, y me da como que me miran más y siendo sincera siento que no me las sé hacer bien, por eso todo lo de cejas tiende a terminar en las manos de mi mamá :D
