REVIEW: [INNISFREE] Super volcanic pore clay mask 2X

¡Hola a tod@s! ヾ(⌒▽⌒)ﾉ Comenzamos este mes con otra reseña de un producto que me ha sorprendido muchísimo. Debido a mi piel grasa, he buscado muchísimos productos que controlen el sebo de mi rostro durante todo el día, y uno de mis favoritos son las mascarillas de arcilla.
Si tienes problemas de brotes de acné, piel grasa con alta producción de sebo o poros muy grandes, definitivamente tienes que probarlas. Las mascarillas de arcilla tienen la finalidad de exfoliar y absorber sebo al mismo tiempo, dejando el rostro limpio, con menos sebo y mejorando el aspecto de los poros. Sin embargo, los efectos son temporales, por lo que hay que usarlas con regularidad dependiendo de tu tipo de piel (se recomienda incluso de 2-3 veces a la semana).
Con los avances a pasos agigantados que da la tecnología cosmética, las mascarillas de arcilla ya no son sólo recomendadas para piel grasa, pues las compañías de cosméticos en todo el mundo se han dado cuenta de que son super eficaces y algunas de ellas incluso han añadido propiedades extra en sus productos finales (como mascarillas de arcilla que añaden glicerina o hialuronato de sodio para proveer hidratación mientras exfolian y limpian la piel).

Hello everyone! ヾ(⌒▽⌒)ﾉ We started this month with another review of a product that has surprised me a lot. Due to my oily skin, 've been looking for many products to control the sebum production of my face throughout the day, and one of my favorites are clay masks.
If you have problems with acne breakouts, oily skin with high sebum production or very enlarged pores, you definitely have to try them. Clay masks are intended to exfoliate and absorb sebum at the same time, leaving the face clean, with less sebum and improving the appearance of the pores. However, the effects are temporary, so you have to use them regularly depending on your skin type (it's recommended even 2-3 times a week).
With the fast advances that cosmetic technology gives, clay masks are recommended not just for oily skin, but cosmetics companies around the world have realized that they are super effective and some of them have even added extra properties in their final products (like clay masks that add glycerin or sodium hyaluronate to provide hydration while exfoliating and cleansing skin).

Recientemente, Innisfree lanzó al mercado una nueva línea de productos con arcilla llamada Super Volcanic Pore Clay 2X, que prometía una absorción de sebo 2 veces más potente gracias a los racimos de esferas volcánicas.
Esta línea está compuesta por una mascarilla enjuagable (tipo wash off), una mascarilla en formato barra (tipo stick) y una mascarilla desprendible (tipo peel off).
Como les tengo cierto repelús a las mascarillas tipo peel off y no sé utilizar muy bien los sticks, opté por comprar la versión enjuagable que es con la que estaba más familiarizada.
Esta línea está compuesta por una mascarilla enjuagable (tipo wash off), una mascarilla en formato barra (tipo stick) y una mascarilla desprendible (tipo peel off).

Recently, Innisfree launched a new product line containing clay called Super Volcanic Pore Clay 2X, which promised a sebum absorption 2 times stronger thanks to the volcanic cluster spheres.
This line consists of a wash off clay mask, a stick clay mask and a peel off clay mask.
Since I didn't have good experiences with peel off masks and I don't know how to use clay stick very well, I bought the wash off mask version, which is more familiar to me.

El empaque es muy similar a las versiones anteriores: Una caja de cartón que contiene un pequeño bote de plástico y tapa de metal con relieve. Sólo hay unas cuantas diferencias en cuanto a los colores (además de algunos cambios en el color de las letras):
- La versión Jeju volcanic pore clay mask tiene un envase marrón claro con tapa plateada.
- La versión Super volcanic pore clay mask tiene un envase marrón oscuro con tapa color marrón claro.
- Esta nueva versión tiene un formato marrón oscuro en ambos elementos (el envase y la tapa).

The packaging is very similar to the previous versions: A cardboard box containing a small plastic container and metal lid with relief. There are only a few differences in terms of colors (besides the letters color change):
- The Jeju volcanic pore clay mask version has a light brown container with a silver lid.
- The Super Volcanic pore clay mask version has a dark brown container with a light brown lid.
- This new version has a dark brown format on both elements (container and lid).
La caja es de cartón en tonos marrones, y tiene un estilo muy ecológico y su parte superior me recuerda mucho a los dobleces que se usan en el origami. Innisfree es amigable con su público local y extranjero, así que trae información en inglés y en coreano. En ambos idiomas viene escrito el nombre del producto, un resumen, instrucciones, lista de ingredientes, precauciones y otros símbolos como el PAO, el loho, el código de barras y el 4-Free System.

El envase tiene una tapa de metal, y se puede ver en relieve la imagen de las esferas volcánicas y las frases "Mascarilla de arcilla volcánica de Jeju para poros" y "Limpieza y cuidado de poros".
Cuando se abre el envase, se puede ver una tapa transparente (que en mi caso, venía con un poco de mascarilla adherida) que protege al envase de contaminación y al removerlo se puede ver la mascarilla de arcilla, de textura cremosa.

The container has a metal lid, and you can see in relief the image of the volcanic clusters and the phrases "Jeju volcanic pore clay mask" and "Pore cleaning and care".
When the container is opened, you can see a transparent lid (which in my case, came with a little mask attached) that protects the container from contamination and when you remove it you can see the clay mask, with a creamy texture.

Innisfree me tiene enamorada con casi todas sus mascarillas de arcilla, especialmente con la Super volcanic pore clay mask. Es una herramienta indispensable en mi rutina ya que me ayuda a controlar el sebo y mis poros lucen reducidos y limpios. Pero me fastidia un poco la textura, ya que es muy muy espesa (al grado de que parece cemento) y al aplicarla y enjuagarla es todo un caos. Al final, utilizo una esponja y tardo demasiado removiéndola de mi rostro. Me había hecho a la idea de que valía la pena porque dejaba mi piel sin nada de sebo (y esto es literal, sentía que mi rostro quedaba limpio a profundidad) y muy suave. Así que cuando vi que Innisfree había lanzado una nueva línea que incluía una versión 2X, pensé que debía probarla para ver qué otras cosas podía ofrecer en comparación a mi preferida en ese momento.
Esta nueva mascarilla ha desbancado a mi consentida anterior. Su textura es amigable pues es más fácil de esparcir, más cremosa y se utiliza mucho menos cantidad para cubrir gran parte de tu rostro. A diferencia de la línea anterior, contiene partículas mucho más pequeñas (las llamadas esferas volcánicas) que son suaves y se esparcen uniformemente una vez que la mascarilla es aplicada. Me parece que no hay grandes cambios en cuanto al aroma o al color en comparación con la versión regular (no percibo un aroma marcado en particular).

I'm crazy in love with almost all Innisfree clay masks, especially with the Super volcanic pore clay mask. It's an indispensable tool in my routine because it helps me with sebum control and my pores look smaller and clean. But the texture bothers me a little, since it's really really thick (it looks like cement for real, I tell you) and when you apply it and rinse off it's such a messs. In the end, I use a sponge and it takes too long to remove it from my face. I believed that it was worth it because it left my skin without any sebum (and this is literal, I felt my face was clean at depth) and very soft. So when I saw that Innisfree launched a new line that included a 2X version, I thought I should try it to see what other things it could offer compared to my favorite at that time.
This new mask has unseated my previous spoiled. Its texture is friendly because it is easier to spread, more creamy and you use less amount to cover great part of your face. Unlike the previous line, it contains much smaller particles (so-called volcanic spheres) that are smooth and spread evenly once the mask is applied. It seems to me that there are no major changes in aroma or color terms compared to the regular version (I don't perceive a particular strong scent).
Esta mascarilla me convenció desde el primer momento por la textura, pero conforme la fui usando encontré más ventajas en ésta que en la línea anterior. A mi parecer es más fácil de aplicar (aunque desearía que incluyeran una espátula o cuchara para poder tomar el producto) y más fácil de enjuagar, ya que no hace tanto lío ni enchastre como la de la línea anterior. Durante el tiempo que la tienes aplicada, puedes sentir ese frescor que promete la marca y que en mi opinión es más notorio que en la otra versión, aunque creo que es bastante gentil y no representa problema alguno para usarla. Conforme pasa el tiempo, la mascarilla se va secando y endureciendo pero la piel no se siente tirante, a diferencia de algunas mascarillas, por ejemplo peel off, que al mover los músculos del rostro sientes que te vas a arrancar la epidermis de un vuelco XD. Después de usarla, la piel queda con un efecto de tensión más pronunciado, luce más brillante y los poros se ven mucho más limpios y disminuidos, sin embargo este efecto es temporal y por eso se recomienda utilizarla regularmente. Mi rostro queda libre de sebo y se mantiene así durante un buen tiempo, aunque siento que no limpia a profundidad como la Super volcanic pore clay mask (así que si tu piel produce demasiado sebo y quieres probar esta versión 2X, probablemente debas usarla con mayor frecuencia).

This mask convinced me from the first moment thanks to its texture, but as I was using it I found more advantages in this one than in the previous line. In my opinion it's easier to apply (although I would like that they could include a spatula or spoon to be able to take the product) and easier to rinse, since it doesn't make such a mess as the previous line clay mask. During the time that you have it on your face, you can feel that freshness promised by the brand and in my opinion is more noticeable than in the other version, although I think it's quite gentle and doesn't represent any problem to use it. As time passes, the mask is dryes and gets harder but the skin doesn't feel tight, unlike some peel off masks for example, that rip off your epidermis when you move your face muscles XD. After using it, the skin remains with a more pronounced tension effect, it looks brighter and the pores look much cleaner and diminished, however this effect is temporary and therefore it's recommended to use it regularly. My face is sebum free and stays like that for a long time, although I feel that it doesn't clean so much deep like the Super volcanic pore clay mask (so if your skin produces too much sebum and you want to try this 2X version, you should probably use it more often).

Esta mascarilla también me ha evitado dolores de cabeza continuos en mi familia. Como ya les he comentado en entradas anteriores, comparto muchos productos de mi rutina con mi marido con la finalidad de ver si le sirven y (por qué no) ahorrar unos cuantos centavos a la hora de comprar (´∀`U), y la mascarilla de la línea anterior le resecaba demasiado su piel mixta y me comentaba que le dejaba sensación tirante. Cuando probó la nueva versión, le dejó su piel limpia, brillante y sin resequedad, dejando su piel lista para hidratar con los siguientes pasos de la rutina. Él la usa durante 10-15 minutos como máximo, pero si tienes piel grasa puedes usarla (como yo) hasta 20 minutos y enjuagar. Yo tampoco percibo sensación tirante o de resequedad al usarla.

This mask was a relieef for so many headaches in my family skincare routine. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I share many products of my routine with my husband in order to see if they are useful for him and (why not) save a few cents when I purchase them (´∀`U), and the mask of the previous line dries a lot his combination skin and he even told me that his face feels tight after use it. When he tried the new version, it left his skin clean, bright and without dryness, leaving his skin ready to hydrate with the following steps of the routine. He uses it for 10-15 minutes, but if you have oily skin you can use it (like me) for up to 20 minutes and rinse. I don't feel tightness or dryness when using it neither.

Pese a que la Super volcanic Pore Mask y la versión 2X tienen en su lista de ingredientes muchas coincidencias, hay algunos detalles que considero importante recalcar. La nueva versión incluye nuevos componentes que son en su mayoría acondicionadores, emulsificantes, emolientes y controladores de viscosidad, que creo que son los que aportan la textura más cremosa y fácil de esparcir a diferencia de la otra versión Super Pore que era más espesa y dura.

Although the Super volcanic Pore Clay Mask and the 2X line have many coincidences in their list of ingredients, there are some details that I consider important to emphasize. The new version includes new components that are mostly conditioners, emulsifiers, emollients and viscosity controllers, which I think are the ones that provide the creamy texture and spreadable characteristics unlike the other Super Pore version that was thicker and tougher.

La descripción de la mascarilla también menciona que tiene un ingrediente AHA (como la Super volcanic pore clay mask) que funge como exfoliante, y revisando la lista de ingredientes pudiera referirse al ácido láctico. Realmente el efecto exfoliante de esta mascarilla es muy gentil, incluso en mi piel grasa no hay mayor problema y después de usarla, la piel se siente suave y limpia. Pese a que viene incluido en menor cantidad en la lista de ingredientes, las personas con piel muy sensible deben tener esto en consideración para evitar alguna reacción adversa. Hay otros componentes como el ácido palmítico, el almidón de maíz y el ácido esteárico que podrían generar problemas en piel grasa, pero al usarse de modo temporal y enjuagarse posteriormente quizás no generen un problema demasiado grande.
Después de probarla, pienso que es una mascarilla útil para todo tipo de piel, que se puede utilizar de modo constante o esporádico, y que a pesar de que el nombre pueda asustar un poco y haga pensar que drenará prácticamente todo lo que se encuentre en tu rostro, lo cierto es que esta mascarilla de arcilla parece una buena opción para incluirla como paso extra en tu rutina diaria.

The description also mentions that it has an AHA ingredient (like the Super volcanic pore clay mask version ) that acts as an exfoliant, and meanwhile I was reviewing the list of ingredients I saw that it could refer to lactic acid. Actually the exfoliating effect of this mask is very gentle, even in my oily skin there is no major problem and after using it, the skin feels soft and clean. Although it's included in a smaller amount in the list of ingredients, people with very sensitive skin should take this into consideration to avoid any adverse reaction. There are other components such as palmitic acid, corn starch and stearic acid that could cause problems in oily skin, but since it's used temporarily and rinsed later it could not generate a big problem.
After testing it, I think it's a useful mask for all skin types, which can be used constantly or sporadically, and although the name may scare a little and make you think that it'll drain practically everything that's in your face, the truth is that this clay mask seems a good option to include it as an extra step in your daily routine.

Pese a que preferiría otro formato que fuera un poco más higiénico (o que trajera por lo menos una espátula XD), la volvería a comprar sin duda. Tanto por el precio y el ahorro que conlleva para las rutinas de cuidado facial en mi casa, como por los efectos y buenos resultados que he observado al usarla. Sería interesante probar los otros formatos de esta línea, pero esta es una buena opción para comenzar a utilizar las mascarillas de arcilla.

Although I'd prefer another package that could be a little more hygienic (or that brought at least a spatula XD), I would buy it again for sure. Since the price is good and the saving that it entails for the facial care routines in my house, as for the effects and good results that I've observed when using it. It would be interesting to try the other versions from this line, but this is a good option to start using clay masks.

¿Se notó mi amor y afición por esta mascarilla? ¿Casi no, verdad? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Lo cierto es que fue una compra arriesgada pero acertada, sin duda Innisfree es de mis marcas favoritas en cuanto a mascarillas de arcilla se refiere. ¿Ustedes utilizan alguna mascarilla de este tipo en su rutina? Me encantaría leer sus sugerencias y compartir experiencias en sus comentarios.

Did you notice my love for this mask? I wasn't too much obvious, right? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) The truth is that it was a risky but successful purchase, Innisfree is one of my favorite brands related to clay masks for sure. Do you use any mask of this type in your routine? Mira que la clay mask anterior no la había probado pero al parecer no me perdía de mucho porque si era difícil de retirar ya me hubiese visto botándola jejjeje por lo que leí me gusta más esta nueva versión y te digo que ya va a mi wishlist me gusto que ahora esta contiene otros ingredientes que ayudan a hidratar y mantener la piel más limpia y suave, me gusto la comparación entre los dos productos es excelente. ResponderEliminaryo tengo la jeju volcanic original, la que no es super y tiene un empaque cafecito más claro y me gusta harto! elegí esa porque leí que era mejor para pieles mas seca y sensibles ya que la super era más poderosa y podía provocar problemas en mi tipo de piel.
ResponderEliminarQue bueno que te haya gustado, si es por el empaque podrías probar las arcillas de tubitos de colores, pero ni idea como van. Yo lo de la espátula lo paso porque tengo varias de otras cremas, aunque el otro día se me cayeron dos al inodoro y obvio que no las saqué jajajajajjajaja

Yo tenía entre ceja y ceja la versión original, pero la verdad mi cara es super sebosa todo el día y sentí que necesitaba ir a lo extremoooo jajaja XD Son muy buenas, casi todas las versiones tienen buenos comentarios.

Jajaja odio esos accidentes! Yo olvidé una espátula en la repisa de mi cuarto y olvidé guardarla, y se llenó de pelos de mi gata que jugaba cerca XD Preferible usar las que sobren por ahí.

Hola! me encanta este tipo de reseñas tan detalladas *.* debo aprender de ti cuando me toque reseñar algún producto como este (que estoy esperando que lleguen u.u) obvio aprender, no copiar jajajaja como comentábamos el otro día por instagram (soy @imadetofly) en fin, la verdad es que le tengo un poco de miedo a este tipo de mascarillas, porque mi piel es mixta pero ultra sensible :( cualquier cosa que me haga mal me saca mil y un granitos y mis rojeces aumentan, pero quizás si podría usarla solo en mi zona T, sobre todo en la nariz que es muy grasa y en la zona de mis poros, los cuales son grandes y muy notorios 77 de todas maneras seguiré buscando opciones para mi tipo de piel, ya que hace poco comencé a incorporar productos coreanos a mi rutina diaria, de hecho estoy esperando que lleguen algunos que estoy ansiosa por probar, en fin, nos estamos leyendo, un abrazo!
ResponderEliminar¡Gracias linda! Muchas veces me gustaría hacerlas más cortitas pero la verdad es que se me suelta la mente y cuando veo ya llevo medio pergamino escrito jajaja XD Claro! Hay que aprender y no hacer copy+paste, me gustó tu filosofía ^_^ Innisfree también tiene mascarillas hidratantes y calmantes, podrías probarlas como multi-masking, he oído buenas reseñas de ese método :)

Mi piel es mixta sensible y la versión anterior de esta mascarilla fue bastante buena para mi piel. El único detalle es que deseaba que los granulos fueran más pequeños pero leer que ahora lo son me entusiasma y ánima a volver a comprarlo.
