¡Hola de nuevo! Espero que se encuentren de lo mejor 😙 Aquí estamos haciendo "limpieza de primavera", y aprovechando la temática se me ocurrió compartir con ustedes mi experiencia con dos limpiadores de la nueva línea de productos de Etude House llamada "Cica Cleansing line". Quería publicar esta reseña doble en una sola entrada porque me pareció mejor hacer la comparación entre ambos productos de la misma línea, ya que comparten algunas ventajas y desventajas que les estaré comentando. ¿Quieren saber qué tal me fue con ellos? I wanted to post this double review in a single entry because I've noticed that both products share some good and bad things. Do you want to know how it was my experience with them? Ya que son productos pertenecientes a una misma línea de Etude House, comparten algunos colores similares como blanco, azul, rosado y letras negras, además de que sus dispensadores son transparentes. Sin embargo, los empaques de cada limpiador son diferentes, es por eso que les comparto la descripción y fotografías de cada uno (eso sí, ninguno venía en caja o en algún termoplástico protector. Ambos los recibí cubiertos solamente del papel burbuja que incluyó Miss Beauty Korea en el envío).

Since both products belong to a same Etude House line, both share some similar colors like white, blue, pink and black letters, plus both dispensers are transparent. But the packaging of each cleanser is different, that's why I leave down below the description and photographs of each one (of course, none of them came in a box or some protective thermoplastic, I received both just covered with the bubble paper that Miss Beauty Korea included in their shipment).
CICA BALANCE 5.5 FOAM CLEANSER
El envase del limpiador espumoso es alargado, de plástico suave y con la cantidad de producto impresa en la parte frontal (150 ml), y en la parte trasera viene incluida poca información en inglés y el resto en coreano, así como el símbolo PAO.
El limpiador tiene en la boquilla un sello metalizado que se quita una vez que comenzarás a usar el producto.
La fecha de expiración viene impresa en el borde plano posterior del empaque.

The foam cleanser packaging is long, made with soft plastic and comes with the amount of product printed on the front (150 ml), and in the back is included little information in English and the rest in Korean, as well as the PAO symbol.
The cleanser has a metalized seal on the nozzle that should be removed once you'll start using the product.
The expiration date is printed on the flat back edge of the package.

El limpiador en gel tiene un envase cilíndrico con un dispensador alargado, de boquilla cuadrada. Pese a que tiene un color blanquecino, se puede apreciar la cantidad de producto que contiene. En la parte frontal viene impresa la cantidad total del producto (200 ml), una cantidad ligeramente mayor a la de su contraparte espumosa. También tiene poca información en inglés y el resto en coreano, además del símbolo PAO impreso.
El dispensador tiene un cintillo pegado que indica que el producto es nuevo. Lo curioso es que este dispensador se puede girar para abrir y cerrar, lo que me parece una buena opción cuando quieres evitar que se gaste producto o si lo vas a llevar contigo al viajar.
La fecha de expiración viene impresa en la base del cilindro.

The gel cleanser has a cylindrical container with an elongated, square nozzle dispenser. Although it has a whitish color, you can appreciate the amount of product it contains. On the front is printed the total amount of the product (200 ml), a slightly larger amount than its foam counterpart. It also has little information in English and the rest in Korean, in addition with the printed PAO symbol.
The dispenser has a glued strap that indicates that the product is new. The funny thing is that this dispenser can be turned to open it and close it, which I think is a good option when you want to avoid to slop the product or if you'll take it with you when traveling.
The expiration date is printed on the base of the cylinder.

1. Dispensa una cantidad apropiada en la palma de tu mano y genera espuma.
2. Limpia suavemente la cara con un movimiento de masaje y luego enjuaga con agua tibia.

For both products:
1. Dispense an appropriate amount onto the palm and fully lather.
2.Gently cleans the face in a massaging motion, and then wash off with lukewarm water.
Cuando vi que Miss Beauty Korea tenía esta línea de Etude House disponible, lo primero que llamó mi atención fue el pH ligeramente ácido que mencionaba en el nombre y además que incluía la Centella asiatica en sus ingredientes (la famosa "Cica" que ahora muchos productos incluyen en líneas completas de cosméticos), que puede ser usada por todo tipo de piel. Si bien mi piel no es muy sensible, he de comentarles que desde hace unos meses comencé a incluir productos calmantes en mi rutina, y he observado que mi piel grasa reguló su producción de sebo y junto con una buena exfoliación, mi piel está controlando los brotes y puntos negros que antes me salían constantemente.
Las listas de ingredientes de ambos productos comparten similitud en algunos puntos, como el madecassoside y la fragancia. Menciono estos ingredientes porque creo que tienen gran improtancia en esta reseña: El madecassoside porque es un compuesto que pertenece a la Centella asiatica (de ahí que lo tomen para darle el nombre de "Cica" al producto) y la fragancia porque es bastante perceptible. Es un aroma bastante peculiar, me recuerda al de los shampoos convencionales (para la gente de México, tienen una fragancia bastante similar a los shampoos de Caprice) porque el perfume se nota apenas abres los envases. Yo me he acostumbrado a la fragancia, pero quizás para personas con piel sensible o personas que tratan de evitar los productos demasiado perfumados será demasiado pronunciado.
Y refiriéndome a la lista de ingredientes del limpiador espumoso, contiene algunos que su uso podría complicar la situación de personas con acné fúngico o dermatitis seborreica, así que tomen esto en consideración también.
En cuanto a su pH, ambos productos coinciden en un valor de 5.5 (ligeramente ácido), siendo el limpiador espumoso un poco más cercano al 6 pero manteniéndose en cierto rango de acidez.

When I saw that Miss Beauty Korea had available this line of Etude House, the first thing that caught my attention was the slightly acidic pH that was mentioned in the name and also that it included Centella asiatica in its ingredients (the famous "Cica" that now many products include in their complete cosmetics lines), which can be used for all skin types. Although my skin is not too much sensitive, I have to tell you that for a few months I started to include soothing products in my routine, and I've noticed that my oily skin regulated its sebum production and including a good exfoliation, my skin is controlling the breakouts and blackheads that used to come out constantly.
The lists of ingredients of both products share similarity in some points, such as the madecassoside and the fragrance. I mention these ingredients because I think they have great importance in this review: The madecassoside because it is a compound that belongs to Centella asiatica (hence they take it to give the name of "Cica" to the product) and the fragrance because it is quite noticeable. It's a rather peculiar aroma, reminds me of conventional shampoos (for people from Mexico, they have a fragrance quite similar to Caprice shampoos) because the perfume is noticeable since you open the containers. I've become used to the fragrance, but perhaps for people with sensitive skin or people trying to avoid too scented products will be too pronounced.
And referring to the list of ingredients of the foam cleanser, it contains some of them that their use could complicate the situation of people with fungal acne or seborrheic dermatitis, so take this into consideration as well.
In terms of pH, both products agree on a value of 5.5 (slightly acidic), the foam cleanser being a little closer to 6 but remaining in a certain range of acidity.
La textura de ambos productos es muy diferente:
Cuando presionas el empaque del limpiador espumoso, obtienes una porción del limpiador de textura suave y color blanquecino. Con muy poca cantidad se puede obtener bastante espuma para limpiar, las burbujas se sienten suaves y ligeras y cuando las aplicas para realizar la limpieza dejan en el rostro una sensación cremosa.

The texture of both products is very different:
When you press the foam cleanser packaging, you get a portion of the cleanser that has a soft, whitish texture. With very little quantity you can get enough foam to clean, the bubbles feel soft and light and when you apply them for cleansing, they leave a creamy feeling on the face.

El limpiador en gel es líquido e
incoloro, y se necesita un poco más de producto que la versión espumosa
para generar una cantidad de espuma decente. No crea demasiada espuma
como el producto anterior y cuando se aplica en el rostro para la
limpieza, no se siente tan cremoso y dejan una sensación más líquida al
aplicar las burbujas.

The gel cleanser is liquid and colorless, and a little more
product is needed than the foam cleanserversion to generate a decent
foam amount. This gel cleanser doesn't create too much foam like the
previous product and when it's applied to the face for cleansing, it
doesn't feel so creamy and leave a more liquid feeling when you're
applying the bubbles.

Ambos productos tienen un poder de limpieza bastante efectivo, pero me parece que el limpiador espumoso puede ser un poco más fuerte. En mi rutina yo utilizo el limpiador en gel por las mañanas porque siento que es más suave y gentil con la piel, y por la noche utilizo el limpiador espumoso porque siento que deja la piel más limpia después de haber estado en contacto con el polvo o suciedad y al haber usado protector solar o maquillaje ligero. Y hablando de maquillaje, ambos son capaces de remover maquillaje ligero pero recuerden que es de gran importancia remover al 100% los restos del rostro, por lo que si utilizas maquillaje demasiado pesado o resistente al agua ("waterproof") es mejor utilizar un desmaquillante o limpiador oleoso antes.
Por cierto, los he estado utilizando para limpiar el sudor de todo el rostro ahora que hace tanto calor por acá y, aunque estuvieron en contacto cercano con mis ojos, no me irritaron en lo más mínimo.

Both products have a cleansing power quite effective, but I think the foam cleanser can be a little stronger. In my routine I use the gel cleanser in the morning because I feel it's softer and gentler on the skin, and at night I use the foam cleanser because I feel it leaves the skin cleaner after being in contact with pollution or dust and after using sunscreen or light makeup. And speaking of makeup, both are able to remove light makeup but remember that it is very important to remove 100% of the remains of the face, so if you use too heavy or waterproof makeup, it is better to use a make-up remover or cleansing oil/balm before.
By the way, I've been using them to clean the sweat from my face now that it's so hot around here, and although they were in close contact with my eyes, they didn't irritate my eyes at all.

Y para terminar mi experiencia, quería mencionar algo interesante que noté utilizando estos limpiadores: no son tan resecantes como otros que he probado. Quizás la versión espumosa deja una ligera sensación tirante después de usarlo, pero no es tan molesta como con otros limpiadores acuosos que he utilizado. En cuanto a la versión en gel, es el primer limpiador acuoso que siento que deja la piel bien humectada.
Realicé unas mediciones y ambos limpiadores dejan la piel bastante hidratada, pero definitivamente la versión en gel es el que mejor se adaptó a mi piel.

Finally, I wanted to mention something interesting that I noticed using these cleansers: they are not as drying as others I've tested. Maybe the foam version leaves a slight tight feeling after using it, but it isn't as annoying as with other aqueous cleansers that I've used. As for the gel version, it is the first aqueous cleanser that I feel leaves the skin well moisturized.
I made some measurements and both cleansers leave the skin quite hydrated, but definitely the gel version is the one that best adapted to my skin.

Pienso que son una opción bastante buena y accesible para la limpieza/doble limpieza, ya que ambos tienen pH ligeramente ácido y bastante cantidad para usar. El único "pero" que les pondría es el aroma, porque sí que es bastante notorio y eso se aprecia en ambos limpiadores. Compraría el limpiador en gel nuevamente, pero me gustaría probar otras opciones por ahora.

I think they are a pretty good and affordable option for cleansing / double cleansing products, since both have a slightly acid pH and a lot amount to use. The only "bad thing" that I'd name is the fragance, because it is quite noticeable and that is appreciated in both cleansers. I'd buy the gel cleanser again, but I'd like to try other options for now.
